Bangalore, Feb. 5. (PTI): Independent consultancy services company SISA, which covers information security, business continuity and risk management at both technical and management levels, is looking at Bangalore for setting up a training hub.

SISA has tied up with Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Carnegie Melon University (formulators of CMM), for training and implementation of world-renowned Octave Information Security Risk Assessment.

The company today announced the successful implementation of the Octave method at Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Bangalore, the first organisation in India to go for this risk assessment method.

Octave had helped STPI save on its resources and enabled them to minimise information security risk with least cost, Dharshan Shanthamurthy, Director-Operations, SISA, told reporters.

Since the method is SEI-CMU, it offers credibility internationally and has helped STPI protect itself against emerging threats associated with service industry, B Sankarlingam, Deputy Director and IT Head STPI said.

Besides being a certified Octave partner, SISA conducts training in Octave and also conducts assessment using its methodology.
